Position: I have been in the veterinary field for over 15 years.
Hometown: New Jersey. I moved to Lexington in 1995.
Family: Two sons. The boys and I are involved with Cub Scouts. This will be my third year being the Asst Cub Master. We are also involved with the Spanish Immersion program.
Pets: German Shepard named Hambone and Tegu lizard named Godzilla.   
Hobbies: My favorite hobby is my family. Most of all we enjoy each other unconditionally and grow together no matter what the situation.

Dr. Wm. Bev McClain
Hometown: Morehead, KY
Education: Morehead State University: 1968 - 1973. Received a B.S. degree with an area of concentration in Chemistry. Auburn University: 1973 - 1977. Veterinary Degree.
Professional History:
• Colonial Heights Animal Hospital in Kingsport, Tn. 1977 - 1981
• AA small animal Emergency clinic in Lexington,Ky. 1981 - 1988
• Opened Tates Creek Animal Hospital in 1988.
Professional interests: I am intriqued by preventative care. What do we know and what can we do to extend our own and our animal companions’ “health span”? How can we prolong the onset of debilitating disease that diminishs life quality?
Hobbies: Backpacking, Exercise and Nutrition. Preparing and eating good foods!! Reading or listening to audiobooks on my Ipod nano. Conversation with friends.
Pets: Jager: Golden Retreiver that we got from a rescue organization. Ms. Kitty: Three legged,tailess cat. Linus: My most cuddly cat. Deimiester: My mentally challenged cat. Moe: The type of cat that give cats a bad name.
Other Interests: I have constructed a “pet proof” backyard so Jager and the cats can go in and out at will. They love it!! I am currently experimenting with home cooking for Jager. The receipe has ground beef,ground turkey,green beans,carrots,cottage cheese,and rice. I then add some olive oil,fish oil or flaxseed oil and a vitamin mineral supplement. He is currently eating better than me!!
