Did you know that when your kitty scratches in his/her litterbox to cover up nature's call they could be making tiny scratches in the plastic bottom where odors and germs can hide. Next time you clean your box, check for micro-scratches and if you find some, it may be time for a new box.
Plastic is naturally greasy and easily scratched when it is a feeding dish too. Cats can suffer from feline acne and dog's suffer from lipfold pyoderma. It's possible that the greasiness of plastic bowls contributes to oil buildup and clogged pores on the chin and around the lips. Ditch the plastic bowls and use ceramic, glass or stainless steel instead.
Did you know? Retractable leashes have caused many accidents. The leash portion is very narrow and can tangle around legs causing rope burns, deep lacerations and choking injures if caught around the neck. Also they can be confusing to your dog, because the place where you want him to walk is constantly changing. Dogs won't learn how to heal appropriately while walking with you.
