Summer
Heat Alert!!!
Make sure your pet has access to plenty of cool, fresh
water 24 hours a day. Be aware that asphalt
can quickly get hot enough to burn the pads of pets' paws. Never
leave your pet in a vehicle even for a minute. Avoid strenuous
exercise on extremely hot days. If you plan to travel
with your pet, know that federal regulations prohibit
shipping live animals as excess baggage or cargo
if an animal could be exposed to temperatures above
85°F. Some airlines do not ship pets at all during
the summer months, regardless of the temperature. Check with
your airlines for individual policies.
What would you do if your pet got lost?
The NEW HomeAgain Microchip is always looking
out for your pet.
With a 1 time activation fee and annual membership fee HomeAgain will
contact shelters and all veterinarians within a 25 mile radius
of loss, provide any vet with your pet’s emergency medical information,
create lost pet poster with your pet’s photo. 10 million pets
get lost every year. Without ID, 90% do not return home.

cases of Rabies in 8 Kentucky counties.
Counties: Animal

R/D®
with Chicken Canine
For the Nutritional
Management of Obese or Overweight Dogs
Being overweight can cause your pet discomfort, reduce energy
levels and even shorten their life. Just as in people, weight
gain is usually associated with excessive calorie and fat intake
combined with a lack of exercise. Obesity can lead to such
serious conditions as heart disease, arthritis, and diabetes.
Prescription Diet® r/d® with Chicken Canine dog food is designed
specifically for the management of dogs that are overweight
or obese. Its low fat, reduced calorie, high fiber formula
helps dogs lose weight while helping them feel full. Prescription
Diet® r/d® with Chicken Canine has the highest levels of L-carnitine
of any therapeutic weight loss food to help burn fat while
increasing lean muscle mass.
Ask our staff if R/D® Canine can help your dog become
a healthier weight.
